All systems that create value have inputs and outputs.  Linear business models, which have been used for centuries, take scarce natural resources to produce products with short life-spans, then create waste and pollution. Not only do these models ignore the depletion of the world's natural resources, but the inefficient outputs are far less than optimal for the people, the planet, or the profit of the company.

Circular economy business models aim to minimize inputs and maximize efficiency by designing sustainable products and finding innovative ways to re-use, remanufacture, or regenerate value from the outputs and waste of the business operations.  Each of the small businesses in the Dos Colinas community have circular elements to their business models, but our community is taking the idea of circularity to a new level, further resembling nature by designing in symbiotic relationships among the circular processes of each community collaborator. It is an ever evolving development and discovery process, but using the pillars OG capitalism as a driving force, we hope our community can provide stepping stones for individuals and businesses to create their own impactful circular businesses and sustainable communities.
